Railways, canals and a bear from peru plus one of the finest Gothic Revival churches in London. 19th Century architecture and modern architecture in Paddington basin one of London’s newest developments.

Thursday 13th August 2020 5pm London Walking tour in Maida Vale £12

Attractive area with wide avenues and colourful house boats on the Regent’s Canal. See the recreation ground where two champions trained for their sporting successes.  Past residents include a computer pioneer, a PM of Israel and the author of a children’s book that’s also loved by adults.

Saturday 22nd August2020 2.30pm Aristocrats and Artists, a  Holland Park Walking Tour. £12

The area of Holland Park developed around Holland House the home of the Earls of Holland. In the 19th century it attracted artists. Having made successful careers they employed top architects to design their houses.

Saturday 29th August2020  2.30pm London Walking Tour in Notting Hill £12.

Multicultural Notting Hill has a fascinating story to tell of its ups and downs as it developed from farmland and potteries to smart suburb with a Bohemian edge.  Carnival, Portobello market and a few things you may recognise from films.
